We’re thrilled to announce that Own has made the annual Forbes Cloud 100 for the third consecutive year, ranking #72 on this definitive list of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world. The list is published each year by Forbes in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures.
Since its inception in 2015, the Cloud 100 reviews submissions from hundreds of cloud startups and private companies each year. The Cloud 100 evaluation process involves ranking companies across four factors: market leadership (35%), estimated valuation (30%), operating metrics (20%), and people & culture (15%). For market leadership, the Cloud 100 enlists the help of a judging panel of public cloud company CEOs who assist in evaluating and ranking their private company peers.
“The companies of the Cloud 100 list represent the best and brightest private companies in this crucial tech sector,” said Kenrick Cai, the Forbes editor of the Cloud 100. “This year’s companies had to react rapidly to AI’s sweeping impact while contending with a market pullback. Their resilience puts them in elite company.”
Leading up to this recognition, Own has experienced a year of significant momentum. In March, we announced a valuable strategic technology collaboration with Cohesity. This collaboration aims to provide customers with a contemporary solution for safeguarding and managing data across crucial SaaS applications. In June, we celebrated two achievements: welcoming our 6000th customer and securing our 500th five star review on the Salesforce AppExchange. Last, but certainly not least, we announced our FedRAMP® authorization, which allows Own to provide our leading SaaS data protection services to U.S. Federal Government agencies.
Own has also recently received accolades for its culture and teams. We were named as one of Inc’s Best Places to Work, and were ranked by Great Place to Work and Fortune as a Best Workplace in New York, a Best Workplace for Millennials, and a Best Medium Workplace nationwide.
